Message	Sanding would be very time consuming. You would have to sand it off the bumpers though as those are not metal, it's molded into the part. But if you are using a body kit, it will cover up the sides. If the kit you are using uses door fillers then you are all set and don't have to do anything. I have the WW kit and it doesn't use door fillers. So I just stripped the lower section of my doors, and the rest of the kit covers the lower section along the car.
